ProSteam has disappeared from Excel. What do I do?

Excel sometimes disables add-ins and files if it thinks they have caused a problem. Unfortunately its a bit too aggressive and sometimes disables ProSteam components for no good reason. Here are three suggestions that you can try:

• If you are using ProSteam 6 or later, try running ProSteam from the Windows Start menu. ProSteam will then detect if it has been disabled by Excel and correct the problem.
• In Excel 2007 or above please try this:

1. Go to the 'Excel Options' dialog.
2. Select 'Add-ins'
3. At the bottom select 'Manage' 'Disabled Items'
4. Press 'Go...'
5. Enable any ProSteam components that have been disabled.

• In Excel 2003 please try this:

1. Go to the Excel 'Help' menu.
2. Select 'About Microsoft Excel'
3. At the bottom select 'Disabled Items'
4. Enable any ProSteam components that have been disabled.
