Petro-SIM v7.5 Known Issues and Notes

Changes that may impact numerical results.

DHTR-SIM (Renewables)

• Workbooks- Renewables Factors subsection is missed in the Calibration Inputs, Results, Predict Inputs and Results. It has been fixed in the subsequent versions

Worksheet Calibration

• Error displayed when Run button in the Calibration Input worksheet is clicked.

Security Vulnerabilities in Third Party Library in Petro-SIM Explorer

What is happening?

Older versions of Petro-SIM Explorer contain a version of the Telerik library which contains known security vulnerabilities.

Assets Impacted: Petro-SIM Explorer versions v7.4, v7.4 SP1 and v7.5.

How does this affect you?

If you use disk-scanning tools, they may flag KBC Explorer as containing vulnerabilities. Since KBC Explorer does not serialize or deserialize Telerik controls, it is not directly vulnerable.

What action do I need to take?

Update to the latest version of Petro-SIM Explorer. The versions with updated library include v7.4 SP2 and v7.6. V7.5 SP1 which also includes the update will be available shortly.
