Petro-SIM 7.3 improvements to Unit Operations
Heat exchangers and HTRI
- XSimOp new features:
+ XSimOp generated tables now displayed in Petro-SIM

- Exchanger geometry data from HTRI can be transferred into Petro-SIM for shell&tube exchangers using Xist rating mode
- Air cooler geometry data from HTRI can be transferred into Petro-SIM for air cooler exchangers using Xace rating mode

Compressor performance curves
- The User can specify pressure ratio vs. flow rate curves for compressors

- The compressors in Petro-SIM v7.3 can either use ISO conditions, or
- Correct simulation results using other base conditions from a reference material stream

- Compressor IGV corrections, a new functionality was implemented to simplify calculations or to consider IGV position when curves are not available

Expander performance curves
Petro-SIM can now generate theoretical expander performance curves based on two approaches:
- Standard + Critical Pressure Ratio. A mass flow coefficient is calculated using pressure ratios and the critical choke pressure

- The column automatically calculates the tray diameter when the AMSIM thermo package is being used
