Plant Monitoring enhancements

The Unit Monitoring tool is a core application of KBC's simulation software particularly in refining with the potential to expand beyond that. It forms a key element in ensuring that Petro-SIM becomes a key component of our client’s digitalization strategy. In order to deliver unit monitoring applications, key changes need to be made in KBC Explorer and Petro-SIM to support its growth as the platform for performance monitoring.

New major features include:

• Ability to add specific notes for each data set in the Data Sets tab.
• Implement time zone options.
• Improved DB revision handling.
• Petro-SIM and Explorer supporting case-level collaboration.
• Support of multiple DB connections.
• New user interface in Explorer to create new monitoring tasks and edit schedule..
• Automated monitoring tasks with timeout.
• Improved diagnostics of automated monitoring runs.

Columns and Collaboration

Petro-SIM v7.2 can now use collaboration for columns with side operations (side strippers, pump arounds, etc.). Additionally, the subscribed simulation case can automatically update the connections to these side operations.
