Petro-SIM 7.1 Changes to Tools
Barometric Pressure and Ambient Temperature
- The User can specify the local atmospheric pressure and work in gauge pressure units without the hassle of defining a separate unit set every time a new simulation model is created from scratch.
- A number of unit operations in Petro-SIM use the ambient temperature and the new functionality allows the User to set up the ambient temperature to be used throughout the simulation case.

New Site Conditions setup option
CO2 freeze out prediction
- New stream property using Multiflash to determine the CO2 freeze out temperature at stream pressure

New stream property
Named Variables utility
- New equation utility to handle pre-defined and customized calculations.

New Named Variables utility
Times Series improvements
- Instead of necessarily using dates, time series should also be based on instances or cases, independent of specific times.
Excel expansion to support engineering applications
- Ability to copy/paste on the Optimizer Setup view in the Excel Application Workbook.
- Pipe segment supported in the Excel Application Workbook.
Improvements to LP Utility
- Swing cut calculation breakdown view.
- LP Utility solve time.
- LP Utility and Base Delta Operation.

New Swing Cuts page
Multiflash fluid characterization
- Crude compatibility (Asphaltenes precipitation in crude blending).
Note: This feature does require an additional license beyond the standard Petro-SIM license
Oil synthesis
- Ability to compare the calculated data against input data. This comparison can be done by the User through the use of a plot in the Oil Environment.
