Naphtha Hydrotreating Pure Component Mode

Attention in the industry has continued to focus on the naphtha and gasoline sections in refineries
- Regulatory changes to gasoline specifications and treatment have placed a greater demand on naphtha treating
- The shift in Europe from diesel demand to gasoline has created a need to re-evaluate operating scenarios to maximize gasoline production.
Petro-SIM 6.2 introduces a new pure component mode for the existing NHTR-SIM model.
NHTR-SIM 6.2 now has two modes
- Existing TBP mode
- New Pure Component mode
Prediction in the new pure component mode requires calibration in the same mode
New Features
- Includes pure components species calculations in NHTR-SIM
- Improves handling C4- material handling in liquid feed for both modes
- Includes handling of incomplete saturation of olefins in pure component mode
- Improves calibration thru Net Yields mode operation
- Offers options for using heuristics around H2 consumption involving sulfur, nitrogen & bromine No. of feed
- Includes improved results validation
- When input net yields of C1-C4 or H2 consumption do not make sense, uses error messages & clickable help to advise the user of how to use Net Yields and H2 Consumption heuristics
