Reporting Workbooks in Microsoft Excel

The Reporting Workbook provides an automatic way of creating a multi-case Excel report that covers large flowsheets to help you analyse results from a series of case studies. It organizes the report to follow the sub-flowsheet structure of your case. The Workbook is intended for reporting only and it works by retrieving data into Excel from the active Petro-SIM case. It is not necessary for each Petro-SIM case to have the same structure: Excel will retrieve what it can. This makes the workbook tolerant of changes you make to flowsheet structure.

The workbooks are constructed from any Petro-SIM case using the Build Excel Application wizard. Select everything in your main PFD and use the PFD Object Inpsect menu to get to the Build Excel Application wizard. From there select Flowsheet Reporting Workbook and go on to select the options you want.

Petro-SIM can also generate Excel workbooks that help you run calibrations and predictions direct from Excel. See Reactor Workbooks for more details.
